Way/Centraide of the Upper Ottawa Valley Inc. (UWUOV) is a community of
caring donors and energetic volunteers in eastern We will identify and address the needs of our
community by organizing the resources of community members to help one another and its Vision: We shall be a dynamic, caring organization
providing for the needs of the community through involvement, collaboration,
innovation and financial support. The funds we raise support a variety of health and social programs and services, many of which are delivered by our 13 Member Agencies. As a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization,
UWUOV relies on the on-going generosity of many people, organizations and
businesses within the 23 municipal jurisdictions it serves. Without their

County, as the United Ways 2009 Honorary Campaign Chair! The United Ways 2009 Fundraising
Campaign Blitz officially launched on Friday, September 11. The STARlite Golf Tournament, the Renfrew South Charity Golf
Tournament, the 24-Hour Ball Marathon, the Womens
Shelter Annual Bowl-a-Rama, the 2nd Annual Smith Family United
Way Pumpkin Pick, the 9th Annual Trivia Challenge and the 10th
Annual Breakfast in Pembroke have successfully led the way to meeting our
$350,000.00 goal. A big thank you to all participants and
businesses for your contributions in time and donations. Coming up are
the Indoor Virtual Golf fundraiser at Mulligans Den
in Calabogie on November 14th and 15th,
the United Way Breakfast at the Barrys Bay Legion
Hall on November 21st, the Expect the Unexpected Magic Show at
Pembrokes Heritage Manor on November 27th and the 16th Annual
Curling Funspiel at the Pembroke Curling Club on November 28th. For further information on these and
other campaign events throughout the period 2009 September to December,

donors to meet our goal so that we can help our Member Agencies address the
many health and human needs of people living in Renfrew County. Without your
