United Way/Centraide Upper Ottawa Valley, Inc.

Welcome to United Way/Centraide Upper Ottawa Valley, Inc.

Thank You for Visiting Our Site!

The United Way/Centraide of the Upper Ottawa Valley Inc. (UWUOV) is a community of caring donors and energetic volunteers in eastern Ontario who work year-round to raise funds to support its Mission:

We will identify and address the needs of our community by organizing the resources of community members to help one another

and its Vision:

We shall be a dynamic, caring organization providing for the needs of the community through involvement, collaboration, innovation and financial support.

The funds we raise support a variety of health and social programs and services, many of which are delivered by our 13 Member Agencies.

As a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization, UWUOV relies on the on-going generosity of many people, organizations and businesses within the 23 municipal jurisdictions it serves. Without their continued support, there would be no United Way.

We invite you to enter our website to learn more about who we are, what we do and who benefits from our work. We also invite you to help your community through the United Way by getting involved as a volunteer or by becoming a donor. Remember . . .

The Community Is You . . .

Welcome and congratulations to Mayor Janice Visneskie of the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards, and former Warden of Renfrew County, as the United Ways 2009 Honorary Campaign Chair!

The United Ways 2009 Fundraising Campaign Blitz officially launched on Friday, September 11. The STARlite Golf Tournament, the Renfrew South Charity Golf Tournament, the 24-Hour Ball Marathon, the Womens Shelter Annual Bowl-a-Rama,  the 2nd Annual Smith Family United Way Pumpkin Pick, the 9th Annual Trivia Challenge and the 10th Annual Breakfast in Pembroke have successfully led the way to meeting our $350,000.00 goal. A big thank you to all participants and businesses for your contributions in time and donations. Coming up are the Indoor Virtual Golf fundraiser at Mulligans Den in Calabogie on November 14th and 15th, the United Way Breakfast at the Barrys Bay Legion Hall on November 21st, the Expect the Unexpected Magic Show at Pembrokes Heritage Manor on November 27th and the 16th Annual Curling Funspiel at the Pembroke Curling Club on November 28th.

For further information on these and other campaign events throughout the period 2009 September to December, including team registration forms, please click on the Fundraising tab displayed on any page of this site.

We need volunteers, participants, and donors to meet our goal so that we can help our Member Agencies address the many health and human needs of people living in Renfrew County. Without your help, there would be no way. Please call 1-888-592-2213 if you would like to join our campaign teams in Pembroke/Petawawa, Deep River District and Arnprior/Renfrew.
